Scotty Kilmer’s Free Car Advice

I’ve been working on my own cars for about 7 years now and I’ve watched a lot of car repair videos in hopes of saving money by doing things myself. One of the best YouTube channels I’ve discovered is by this mechanic of 49 years and Emmy-award winning TV personality, Scotty Kilmer. He does a live stream twice a week, Thursdays and Saturdays on his channel where you can ask him questions about your car and he will answer them. I’ve even got answers from him before. Here is a short bio of him per his website:

“In 1979 Scotty got married and started his own repair business. But eventually, Scotty became restless. So he wrote his book, Everyone’s Guide To Buying A Used Car, in 1994. This lead to him becoming the “Crank It Up” car talk host at CBS TV in Houston. After ten years of car talk hosting, Scotty moved on to the internet, winning an Emmy for Interactive Car Talk Host in 2004.

Scotty’s always helping people out with their car care problems, making the seemingly incomprehensible complexity of modern cars easy to understand for everyone. His combination of mechanical knowledge, truthfulness, and humor makes him a natural hit with the driving public. Over 120 million people have watched his Scottykilmer channel videos on youtube.”

I thought I would share this information with all of you in case you had questions about your car and you want an honest and genuine advice on what is wrong based on what you tell him and based on his experience with working on your makes and models. He works on new cars too so he is up-to-date on the technical aspects of the automotive industry. I’m not getting paid by him or anything, I just wanted to share someone who is honest, knowledgeable and wants to be of service to others.

His website Scottykilmer.com has a plethora of knowledge and information that you may find useful for your situation. He has a large volume of repair videos that show you how to do many repairs yourself. Thank you for reading and much love!
